The Following Territories and their Associated Federations are Eligible to Participate in the Big South as Foreign Team Participants:
American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands
A Foreign Team, registered with its National Volleyball Federation, may participate if it is not representing its country in an official capacity, and the federation of origin grants permission for participation.

The following steps must be taken to complete the registration requirements for the Big South:
- Go to the link to the left “How to Enter” and follow all instructions for entering your team through our registration system.
- Make sure you have completed a hotel reservation through THS as outlined on our Hotels page
- Prepare the following paperwork and send in PRIOR to your arrival at the event.
- Download the USAV required Team Registration Form. You must have this form filled out and signed by EVERY PERSON listed on your roster -- players, coaches, chaperones, etc -- ONE form for the whole team. Note that this is a 2 page form.
- Download the USAV Team Summary Form. Fill out completely and submit.
- Include a copy of a government photo ID for EVERY PERSON listed on the roster -- players, coaches, chaperones, etc
- Include a copy of a birth certificate OR a copy of a government photo ID for EVERY PLAYER listed on the roster.
- Include proof or verification of your team and/or club’s registration with the Puerto Rican National Volleyball Federation. (This can be a letter from your Federation)
- Include a $100 per team fee to cover USA Volleyball Foreign Athlete Insurance. This fee can be paid in cash or in a money order ONLY. No checks or credit card will be accepted. This fee is paid only once a season. If you have participated in another event prior to the Big South, please provide proof of payment to USAV from the national office.
- Download the USAV of the Code of Conduct. This form is a copy of the back the Player Registration Form. You should make sure that each player and coach has a copy of this form to keep for their records. Do not turn this form in to the tournament.
Complete the following and have in your possession during the Big South and at Team Check-in:
- Download the USAV required Medical Release Form. You must have this form filled out and signed by EVERY PLAYER listed on your roster.
